The manual (notebooks No. 1 and No. 2) provides samples of writing lowercase and uppercase letters of the Ukrainian alphabet, corresponding to the "Unified Samples of Calligraphic Writing of Letters and Their Connections," approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. To develop the ability to write correctly and neatly in first graders, the notebooks offer a template (slanted lines placed at the width of a lowercase letter), highlight the bottom line for lowercase letters; present the elements of each letter and the sequence of its drawing; provide various options for connecting studied letters, samples of writing individual words, sentences. The thematic illustrations will serve as material for composing sentences or coherent narratives, contributing to enriching the children's vocabulary.
